Rattlesnake Ledge Hike

So a friend and I hiked up to Rattlesnake Ledge today. I had heard they had changed the trail yet again and it turns out they certainly did. I just don't understand why they think they have to tame the wild (e.g. making the trail 2 feet wide and practically flat). I just don't get it and sure enough, it seems to draw in droves of people now as my first photo shows. This is all the cars that didn't fit in the parking lot.

They actually made the trail slightly longer as well. . . a side affect of making it as flat as possible. Regardless of all this it is still a beautiful forest and a great hike. All the people that were up there were friendly and of course, the view from the top is always excellent. I didn't take many photos but here they are.
