We've been planning this for ever . . . Christen and I finally made it to Ross Lake. We spent four days kayaking on the lake and hiking up desolation peak. Here are some pictures.

This was a fantastic trip and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Banff/Jasper Motorcycle Trip
July 8 - 18th, 2006

I just came back from my motorcycle trip. I'll write more . . . but for now, here are some pictures. Also, here is a quick video, I will make a better one later, once we get all the photos together.

May 15th, 2006

I know, I know . . . . I hardly ever update my web site any more. Believe me when I say, my life is not that interesting lately . . . all I do is yard work, yard work, yard work, lol. That is how it seems any way. I love my new house but getting the yard in good shape, has been a lot of work. The good news is . . . I am almost done! Now I just need to fix the hot tub, finish painting inside, re-stain the fence, pressure wash the side of the house, finish installing the screen door, by then, the yard will need maintenance again . . . . . it's never ending I tell you!!!! lol

I also just got myself a new toy. I sold the Suzuki Vstrom and bought a 2006 Triumph Sprint ST motorcycle. It is a sport touring bike and they had a great promotion where the hard cases were free. This thing is an absolute blast to ride. I am going on a long trip to Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada this summer so that will be the first big test for the bike.

Texas Trip
March 11 - 18th

I went down to Texas for a week to visit Christen. The weather was "bad" according to the people there but it was great to me. 70 degrees and almost zero rain. We went kayaking one day and then backing for three days. Here are some pictures.

Rachel Lake and Kayaking
July 2 - 3rd, 2005

The plan was to hike up to Lila Lakes, camp, and then hike up Alta mountain the next morning. The weather said otherwise though. We hiked up to Rachel Lake and the weather was pretty miserable so we just hiked back down and found a nice camp site down in Box Canyon.

The afternoon of the second day we went to the Columbia and went out on kayaks. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of wetlands that were filled with all kinds of different birds.

Here are the pictures here.

Oregon Sand Dunes
May 27 - 30, 2005

Christen and I went down to the Oregon coast to play in the sand dunes and then went to the Ape Cave by Mt. St. Helens on the way home. Here are a few pictures.

Videos

Thanks to David Derickson, I now have copies of the videos that he made from out Black Peak trip and Yakima River trip. Here they are:

Quinn Lake and Lost Lake
March 13, 2005

Christen and I hiked in to Lost Lake today. This was pretty amazing because normally you can't get to this area until May or so. It is definitely LATE spring conditions in the mountains already. There was almost zero snow on the drive in, even up at 4000+ feet.

There was some snow at Lost Lake but not much. After hiking into the lake, we went half way up to Noble Nob and the trail was completely clear.

Here are some pictures from the trip or slideshow (2.5 MB).

Oahu, Hawaii and Chung-Hoon Photos
Sept. 2004

I went to Oahu for a week to see my brother. I wished I could have stayed longer. My brother is in the Navy and they comissioned a new ship called the Chung-Hoon that he is assigned to. They also took us out for a ride around the island in the ship. It's probably the best armed cruise ship out there :) Here are the pictures although pictures don't really do the place justice.

Here's a video I made from the picutres

Yellowstone National Park
Sept. 2004

Well, I went on a spur of the moment road trip. I went through Craters of the Moon National Monument, Yellowstone National Park, and the Grand Tetons.

I didn't get to spend nearly as much time in Yellowstone as I would have liked but I still saw a lot of stuff. Here are some pictures and here is the slideshow (7 MB).

Monterery, CA Motorcycle Ride

We are back from the Monterery Motorcycle trip. Wow! What a trip. It was almost 2500 miles total. We had lots of fun and took LOTS of pictures. Here are just a few of them.

We had lots of adventures and met a few people. We even met this guy on the way back in Goldendale, WA who had happened to see us while he was driving a bus in San Francisco, CA. What are the chances of that?

Here is the route we took down and here is the route back.

Joshua Tree National Park
