Goat Rocks, Sheep Lake, Pacific Crest Trail

Sheep Lake where we camped the first night.

Lake Corral. There really isn't much of a trail to this lake anymore. We did some cross country hiking and found this lake shortly before dark.

Mt. Adams as the sunset on our hike back to camp at Sheep Lake.

A great view of Goat Rocks from a peak we climbed above Sheep Lake.

Mt. Hood Area

Caleb, Dillon, and I did some hiking in the Mt. Hood area. We hiked Tom, Dick, and Harry (<-- that's the name of the mountain) and Devils Peak. Here are some more pictures.

Flugtag 2008 and Columbia River Gorge

Steve, Christen, and I road motorcycles down to Portland to watch Flugtag 2008. There were 80,000 people there!!!! It was insane. After that we went down to the Columbia River Gorge and did a couple of hikes. It's a beautiful area and very popular with tourist and hikers but we did one hike late in the evening and the second first thing in the morning, so we beat most of the crowds.

This is a Tiger Lilly up on Mt. Walker.

A view toward the Olympics from Mt. Walker as the sun was setting.

This is a photo from our campsite the second day as the sun was setting . . .

Yosemite

So I finally made it down to Yosemite. I'm in San Francisco for work and I took the opportunity to fly down a couple of days early to drive to Yosemite. I took a lot of photos so it will take a while to go through all of them but here is the fist pass.

Yosemite is really cool. It is crowded but it's so big that it's not too bad and it's EASY to get away from the crowds for the most part.
